About Creartive Art Studio
Hi I'm Mel and I own and run Creartive Art Studio for you all budding Picasso's out there.
We also run Arty Parties and Mums and Bubs Creative Art & Sensory Sessions. See below for more information on me and what else we do here at Creartive.
As a child I was always encouraged to explore and develop my artisitc abilities and art was always my favourite sunbject at school.
I studied for five years in art, design, fashion illustration and garment construction completing a BA(hons) in Fashion promotions with illustration. I then spent the next three years working as a ladies and children's wear fashion buyer for a large internationally recognised fashion retail. It was during ths time that my professional ambition began to change direction and I started to dream about teaching and using my wealth of artistic and creative knowledge to others. This vision saw me leave my job and return to university to study a Post Graduate Degree in Education of art, textiles and food.
I have now taught for over 16 years teching children from ages 3 - 18 years. The past 12 years have been spent teaching children with physical, intellectual and severe learning disabilities.
My range of knowledge and experience in the field of art, design and carft span many discipline including:
painting, drawing, life dawing, fashion illustration, portraits, slik paintingn mixed medium (charcoal & inks), pattern drafting, garment construction, sewing and general craft projects.
In 2013 Creartive was born. I am hoping to give local children and adults and opportunity to come and be creative and artistic in a fun, stimulating and friendly environment.

Book us for you next mothers group.
You can either come to us or we will come to you. With a tailored session for your baby group that includes up to three activities to keep mums and babies, stimulated and entertained. This is a great way to introduce sensory art ideas to new mums that they can then go on to try at home or for others to want to develop further skills and continue the fun to then join our baby classes at the studio.

Arty Partys
Art parties are hassle free and a great way to celebrate. The birthday child gets to share a creative and fun experience with friends. All parties are tailored round what suits your child and budget. All children get to participate in two chosen activities from a choice of painting, clay modelling, craft activities. We laso play a few games, play music. Also included in the price of your Arty Party are the invitations and party bags.
